MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Stage 1 •Perform desktop research on the topic brief as provided •Assess Competitor analysis •Research and construct speaker lists •Carry out questionnaires in the relevant field •Conduct market research to select, invite and secure high level speakers to cover all the key topics Stage 2 •Ensure calls of around 40 – 50 (4 – 5 people per day) over a 10 day period •Construct a write up including findings addressing the main areas covered •Meet with the Divisional Director to review key information with the view to a go ahead •Initiate the pre registration process Stage 3 •Draft the conference agenda •Create a sound Sponsorship brief •Construct a relevant creative brief Stage 4 •Speaker acquisition •Arrange invites •Sponsorship and Marketing campaign updates Stage 5 •Desktop the programme •Construct the Telesales brief Stage 6 •Project Management and post product activities including budgets and costs and onsite management •Ensure revenue and met •Formal catch up’s with Telesales, Marketing and Event Management to look at costs and review the event Candidate Specification MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL •Educated to degree level or equivalent BACKGROUND KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE Essential •Relevant experience in a commercial environment, ideally within a B2B conference organisation •Telephone based research skills including ‘cold calling’ •Experience of working in a deadline driven environment •Strong research and analytical skills •High-level competency in writing strong sales-driven copy in English •Ability to work as part of a close knit team •Strong project management and organisational skills Desirable •Entrepreneurial/commercial aptitude •Experience in Middle Eastern markets •Demonstrated ability to grow events with experience in working with both delegate and sponsorship revenue |
